The cleanser trade-off

Every cleanser makes you choose.

Deep cleans strip.
They lift everything — including the lipids that hold water in your skin. Your face feels tight before you've even put on moisturizer.
Gentle ones don't clean.
They leave sunscreen, oil and metal residue behind. It builds up, day after day, under everything you apply next.
L-00 does both.
Strong enough to clear the day's buildup. Gentle enough to leave your natural lipid barrier where it is.
The exposome

Skin doesn't only age from your genes. It ages from what it meets every day.

Scientists call the sum of these daily exposures the exposome.1 Here's what's on your face by the end of the day:

01
Pollution particulate
Soot and traffic particles settle on skin. Higher exposure is linked to about 20% more age spots on the face.2
02
Hard-water metals
Calcium and magnesium in tap water make cleanser residue stick to skin — and raise barrier damage after you wash.3
03
Sunscreen + sebum
Water-resistant SPF and oil are built to stay put. One splash of water won't move them.
04
Screen-era grime
Your phone, your hands, your pillowcase. A film of oil and dirt that touches your face all day.

Left on overnight, this load drives oxidative stress in skin.4 L-00 clears it every day — before it adds up.

How it works

Bind. Lift. Protect.

01
Bind the metals
An amino chelator grabs the metal ions that city air and hard water leave on skin, and holds them so they rinse away.
02
Lift the buildup
A buffered cleansing system lifts oil, sunscreen and dead-skin buildup — without pulling out the lipids your barrier needs.5
03
Protect the barrier
Glycerin, aloe and allantoin stay behind to hold water in and keep skin calm.6

Gel → foam · Rinses clean · No tight feel

Hero ingredients

14 ingredients. Three jobs.

Defend
Amino Chelator
Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate
Made from glutamic acid, an amino acid. It binds the metal ions that pollution and hard water leave on skin, so they wash off instead of staying on.
Clean
Buffered Cleansing System
Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate · Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine · Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate · Polyglyceryl-6 Caprylate
One workhorse cleanser, softened by an amphoteric and two mild plant-derived non-ionics. A deep clean, buffered by design so it stops short of your barrier.5
Preserve
Barrier Preservation Trio
Glycerin · Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice · Allantoin
Glycerin pulls water into the top layer of skin and supports barrier function.6 Aloe and allantoin soothe. Skin ends soft, not squeaky.
Why it's great for skin

Cleansing is barrier preservation.

Your barrier is your longevity organ. When it's damaged, skin loses water and runs low-grade inflammation. In older skin, a weaker barrier comes with more of that inflammation.7 Harsh cleansing damages the barrier every single day.5

Clean, never tight
Removes the day's load and leaves your skin's own lipids in place.
Calm, hydrated after every wash
Glycerin, aloe and allantoin replace what washing takes.
Repair lands better
Your serum goes onto clean, intact skin — not onto yesterday's residue.
