Yet, most breakthroughs remain gated behind paywalls, academic journals, and decade-long clinical pipelines. We exist to bring that science into everyday life, starting with the skin.Â

Where Darkfin Labs Began
Darkfin Labs began in an incubator lab in New York City with a vision to rethink modern skincare through longevity science. Inspired by the body's natural repair signals, the brand was founded to bring regenerative medicine research and thoughtful formulation into everyday skincare.
From that vision came L-01â„¢, our proprietary growth factor peptide complex produced through plant-based protein expression. Today, every Darkfin Labs formula reflects our commitment to scientific precision, purposeful innovation, and a simpler approach to skincare.
Discovery Platform
In collaboration with Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Labs, Stemtology (Darkfin Labs' research parent company) developed an AI-powered platform for synergistic peptide selection, leveraging stem cell data to develop new peptide complexes for skincare.Â
This research supports the continued evolution of L-01â„¢, our proprietary peptide platform, and reflects Darkfin Labs' commitment to combining regenerative medicine research, plant-based biotechnology, and thoughtful formulation in the development of future skincare innovations.
